BLACKSBURG, Va. -

The weather held off as thousands of students graduated from Virginia Tech on Friday morning.

Although the weather was chilly and overcast, graduation went on as scheduled.

Lane Stadium packed around 30,000 friends and family and about 5,000 Virginia Tech graduates were on the football field.

The students jumped to “Enter Sandman” one last time.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe was the commencement speaker. His message was "dream big, take chances and don't be afraid to fail."
