BLACKSBURG, Va. -

A Virginia Tech professor and two alumni are the keynote speakers at the school’s fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 20.

Gerhardt Schurig, a professor of biomedical sciences and pathobiology and former dean of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, will deliver the address at the undergraduate ceremony at 11 a.m. Dec. 20. Schurig stepped down as the dean of the veterinary college this fall after serving nine years.

Kirk and Noel Schulz will speak together at graduate ceremony, which is at 3 p.m. Dec. 20. Kirk Schulz is the president of Kansas State University. Noel Schulz is the associate dean for research and graduate programs in the college of engineering at Kansas State.

Both ceremonies will be held at Cassell Coliseum.
