A newspaper, which has been serving the community for nearly a century, is cutting back.
Starting Wednesday, the Virginian Review will go from publishing six-days a week to just two-days.
The editor, whose family has owned the paper since 1914, told WDBJ7 his family had to make this tough decision to keep the presses running.
Lower circulation numbers and lower ad venue made it financially impossible to keep the paper going like it has been.
Instead, the Virginian Review will increase its web presence.
The paper will now be published on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
