All kinds of construction projects have been slowed down because of all the rain we've seen over the past couple of months.

That's definitely the case for a new Goodwill being built in Galax.

The wet weather has effected any kind of plan to pave the parking lot.

And until the work is done, everyone has to stay at the old store, which is overcrowded.

"The weather has had a very big impact on our move. In order for us to be able to move into the new facility, we have to have pavement," said Brandy Tabor.

Goodwill says it needs at least four dry days to pave the parking lot.

If that happens soon, the new store could be open by mid September.
