A woman is charged with stabbing her husband to death in their home in Pittsylvania County.

Teu Medley Pointer, 36, is charged with one count of second degree murder in the death of her husband, John Jasper Pointer, 35.

The call for help was received around 6:15 Thursday evening. The caller reported that someone had been stabbed.

When deputies and responders arrived at Calvin Road in Ringgold, Mr. Pointer was found dead inside the home.

According to James McDaniel, the Pittsylvania County Schools Superintendent, Mrs. Pointer was a special education teacher at the county's regional alternative school who also provided counseling services.

No word yet on her employment status.

Mrs. Pointer appeared in court Friday morning for arraignment and is being held in the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center without bond.

Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
