Lynchburg Parks and Recreation's Yoder Center  hosted a "50th Anniversary Celebration" on Saturday, May 10th to celebrate what the center has brought to the community over the last half-century.

The Yoder Center has been serving the Tinbridge Hill Community for decades as a hub for neighborhood socialization, youth development, political interaction, and community planning.

It's been something of a legacy affair as well.

As throughout the center's history, previous participants have been sending their children and now even grandchildren to participate in the center's programs.

The Yoder Center still continues to offer these programs to inner city youth, adults, senior adults and families. They even plan on expanding what they have available in the very near future
