ROANOKE, Va.—
The Roanoke Fire-EMS will be at WDBJ7's Weather Fest, on October 19th and 20th.
The department will bring its Fire Safety House and have it on display for everyone to experience.
The Fire Safety House is a "classroom" on wheels.
It has a kitchen and a bedroom scenario that simulates fire hazards, earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes.
This year's Fire Prevention Week Theme is "Have 2 Ways Out".
Experts will be on hand talking and teaching the importance of having a fire drill in your home, checking smoke detectors and cooking safety.
