The March of Dimes mission is that all babies be born healthy by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
This weekend you can help out by getting a little bit of exercise in the New River Valley 5K Run and March for Babies.
Champions of all ages are walking and running to raise funds for research and awareness of the mission of the March of Dimes.
The money that's raised for March of Babies will go towards important research and programs that help babies begin healthy lives.
The event is on Saturday, September 15th, at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, 1715 Pratt Drive in Blacksburg.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the race begins at 9.
You can walk, run, bike, rollerblade, or rollerskate in the race and you can even bring your pet.
Be sure to bring a picture of any baby for the Wall of Hope.
