How often do parents beg their kids to eat? While most children eventually outgrow their finicky dining habits, it's not so easy for kids who suffer from feeding issues.

These problems can surface when children are infants, and can grow worse if they are not properly treated.

Feeding therapy can help. Dr. Scott Rankins is a speech-language pathologist and co-owner of Blue Ridge Therapy Associates of Lynchburg. He does a lot of work in the field of feeding therapy.

If you have a child under three who you suspect may have a feeding problem, check for signs on the Infant Toddler Connection of Virginia Web site.
