BLACKSBURG, Va.—
Be ready for alarms to go off at Virginia Tech Friday.
It's only a drill.
The school has its VT Alerts Test set for anytime between 8:00 in themorning and 4:00 in the afternoon.
The alarms will sound at all Virginia Tech campuses, not just Blacksburg.
That includes the Higher Education Center and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research in Roanoke and the Institute for Advanced Learning and Reasearch in Danville.
Also, if you're signed up for VT Phone Alerts, expect to get a test text message.
