Cops: Parents leave baby in car to shop at sex store
Pair told officers no one under 18 was allowed inside business
The parents of a 9-month-old baby have been charged with child endangerment after police said they left the infant in a parked car while they shopped at a sex store.
It happened in suburban Libertyville, Ill., on June 22, according to Chicago TV station WGN.
Temperatures where in the high 70s when police arrested Wisconsin residents Michael Cegers, 18, and Jessica Hurley Smith, 20.
They were shopping at Lover's Lane, leaving the infant on his own for 20 minutes, WGN reported.
Police said the child was crying and sweating profusely.
The couple told officers they left the baby in the car because no one under age 18 was allowed inside the store, according to WGN.
