The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is collecting new shoes that will be passed out as the weather changes. They're also accepting monetary donations. This is the program's first year and shoes can be dropped off through Thanksgiving. We spoke with Lt. Todd Maxey about the program. “ There's lots of programs that go on during the fall leading up to Christmas but this one area that we didn't find where there is a lot of need being met,” he said.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office partnered with the High School club "CHILL", which stands for Communities Helping Improve Local Lives.
