Three people have been charged with robbing a Boones Mill pharmacy early Tuesday morning.
Investigators responded to a burglar alarm around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Boones Mill.
A citizen who witnessed suspicious activity near the pharmacy gave deputies a vehicle description. That tip led to Roanoke County Police Officers to pulling over the suspected vehicle on Crowells Gap Road in Roanoke County, near the Franklin County line.
29-year-old Jeremy Looney of Richlands, 31-year-old Marty Smith of Raven, and 19-year-old Shea Hess of Richlands were all arrested. Looney and Smith are being held without bond. The three are facing burglary and grand larceny charges.
Investigators say the pharmacy’s front door was smashed and there were medications missing.
