ROANOKE CO., Va.—
Friends and family are remembering a local woman killed in a fatal crash Monday night on Interstate 81.
Claudia Patricia Cervantes was one of two people killed when a tractor trailer crossed the median and went into oncoming traffic.
The 28-year-old was the Communications Director for the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber President Scott Arnett tells News7, Cervantes was ".. a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul and a joy to be around."
Police say Danny Heath of Smyth County was driving the tractor trailer that hit another semi and Cervantes' car.
The driver of the other truck - John Murphy of Georgia, was also killed.
Police tell News7 - charges against Heath are pending.
