CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- A former University of Virginia lacrosse player accused of killing a women's lacrosse player is scheduled to appear in court in April for a preliminary hearing.
The hearing for 23-year-old George Huguely of Chevy Chase, Md., originally was set for Friday. But a Charlottesville judge delayed the case after additional charges were filed.
The Daily Progress reports that the hearing has been rescheduled for April 11.
Huguely is charged in the May 3, 2010, death of 22-year-old Yeardley Love of Cockeysville, Md. Love was found dead in her apartment after suffering blunt-force trauma to the head.
Huguely is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
