City leaders in Roanoke are brainstorming how to offer daily bus service to the Amtrak station in Lynchburg.
Officials hope to obtain a state grant to help pay for the service, which could start by July and would cost about $325,000 a year to operate.
The plan also calls for bus service to Blacksburg on Fridays and on the weekends.
