Winnie Taylor has 105 reasons to be happy.
Today, she turns 105.
"I don't know what it's like, just another day," said Taylor.
Friends and family gathered to throw a party in her name.
She currently lives at Synder Nursing Home in Salem.
She moved there after breaking her hip while shoveling snow at the age of 102.
She was also known to mow her own lawn past 100 years old.
Taylor is one of 17 children.
She grew up in Catawba. She has attended the same church all her life.
Today, she has 10 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
In all, 5 generations attended her 105 birthday party.
So what's the secret to her longevity?
Perhaps, it is good genes. Her sister lived until she was 108. One of her sisters is 98.
When we asked her why she thinks she has lived so long, she replied "Good clean living."
