Jobs are coming to Martinsville and Henry County that will make tax services much easier for the region.

Taxing Authority Consulting Services or TACS is opening up an office in the city.

The Richmondlawfirm focuses on tax collection and consulting services.

For example it helps local governments find and collect delinquent taxes and bankruptcy services.

The business will create 17 new jobs over the next three years.

"It's been a while since the city of Martinsville has had an announcement. We've suffered from double digit unemployment for a while and I think it's just a blessing during these holiday seasons to have an announcement," said Mayor Kim Adkins.

TACS will expand into an existing building in Uptown Martinsville.

The area already uses this company for tax collection, being closer will help ease communications between local government and the company.
