LYNCHBURG, Va.—
A 6-year-old boy was critically hurt Friday after being hit by a pickup truck in Lynchburg.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. in the Gold’s Gym parking lot on Wards Road.
Investigators say a Ford F250 pickup truck with a utility trailer attached hit the boy. The driver of the pickup truck was a 40-year-old man from Lynchburg.
The 6-year-old was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital and then later flown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. He is listed in critical condition.
