An accident is causing delays for drivers on Route 460 in Giles County .
Authorities say an overturned tractor trailer has closed both westbound lanes and one eastbound lane between Rich Creek and Narrows, near the West Virginia state line.
The big rig was hauling steel beams.
There is no word on when the lanes will re-open.

Route 460 traffic to be impacted into the nighttime hours
SALEM – An accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer on Route 460 in Giles County, Virginia has closed both westbound travel lanes and one eastbound travel lane. The accident occurred on Route 460 between Rich Creek and Narrows, just east of the West Virginia state line.
As of 9:30 p.m., only one lane out of four lanes is open to traffic. Eastbound and westbound Route 460 traffic is alternating using this one lane, so drivers should expect slow moving traffic and major delays in the area.
Accident responders expect for Route 460 traffic to be impacted into the overnight hours and do not have an exact time for reopening the road.
The tractor-trailer was hauling steel beams which caused some pavement damage on Route 460.
