State police had to shut down a major road Wednesday to investigate a deadly accident.
Routes 501 and 130 were closed for an eight mile stretch in Amherst and Rockbridge counties.
The highway was being used for a grand jury investigation.
Prosecutors in Amherst County are hoping to bring charges against a driver that was involved in a deadly crash earlier this year.
The accident killed Dennis Cash, a tow truck driver from Madison Heights.
We don't know the name of the driver that's being investigated or when the grand jury might pass down an indictment.
