Roanoke-based Advance Auto Parts announced its earnings for 2011, and it's good news for shareholders.
Fourth-quarter earnings for 2011 were up $0.90 per share, compared with the fourth quarter of 2010.
For the year, shares were up $5.11.
The company's net income for the year was $394.7 million.
For the fourth quarter, Advance's net income was $66.4 million.
In a news release, Advance says it expects a modest increase in gross profit rate.
The company is hoping to build 110 to 120 new Advance Auto Parts stores, and 10 to 20 Autopart International stores.
