Former Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy Jonathan Agee entered a no contest plea Tuesday in Montgomery County Circuit Court, where he faced charges including attempted capital murder.

Agee was accused of shooting Virginia State Police Sergeant Matthew Brannock on Memorial Day 2011.

Earlier this month, Agee pleaded no contest to shooting and killing his wife, Jennifer Agee, at a convenience store in Roanoke.

In exchange for the latest plea, the Commonwealth's Attorney agreed to drop one charge.

The judge granted a motion moving the sentencing for all charges to a hearing in Roanoke on May 7th.
