Virginia Tech hosted the one day conference about how state and federal agencies would respond to an incident of terrorism that affected the food supply and other aspects of agriculture.
It's called Agroterrorism.
Veterinarians were there as well as dairy farmers to food processors.
"We probably are vulnerable to the standpoint that we try to be trusting. We try to let folks see what agriculture is doing and the good things farmers are doing. But at the same time we need to be aware that there are opportunities for mischief as well," said Donald Butts, Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture
This was the third annual Agroterroirsm conference.
