Roanoke's Taubman Museum of Art announced some big changes Monday morning.
Thanks in large part to a $150,000 grant from Advance Auto Parts, the museum now offers free general admission. Advance Auto Parts was founded by the Taubman family.Additionally, executive director David Mickenberg is leaving the Taubman "to pursue other opportunities."
The board has also announced a new board of directors, which is now led by Nicholas Taubman and Heywood Fralin. The new board of directors also includes: David Wine (treasurer), William J. Lemon (secretary), Bittle Porterfield, Garnett Smith, Kent Greenawalt, Leon Harris, Nancy Agee, Stan Lanford, Tammy Finley, Debbie Meade and Jenny Taubman.

Questions about the future of Roanoke's Taubman Museum of Art will be answered Monday morning. Museum officials have scheduled an 11:00 a.m. announcement.
According to a media advisory, leaders of the museum will "announce its future direction."
