Christians in Roanoke took their anti-abortion message on the road Sunday afternoon.
Dozens of people from several denominations held signs proudly along Williamson Road for about an hour.
The signs were filled with what they called encouraging messages to tell passing drivers alternatives to abortion like adoption.
A Catholic Deacon we spoke with says this was more of a celebration of life than a protest.
"I think it's important for us to realize that life is a gift and that gift needs to be nurtured and it needs to be cherished," said Roanoke Catholic Deacon, Dick Surrusco.
The group called this a 'Life Chain' in hopes their message will continue beyond their meeting today.
