Even though artist Nick Cave's exhibit, "Meet me at the Center of the Earth," is sizeable, parts are also moveable.
These are "soundsuits." They're named for the noises they make as the dancers wearing them move down the steps or across the floor.
Those fluid movements are no accident a choregrapher worked with the dancers and musician to make sure everything worked together.
The inspiration for these Soundsuits came from African ceremonial costumes, Mardi Gras outfits and even high fashion - all are getting high praise from the Roanoke audience.
