A man is charged in the stabbing death of a woman in Alleghany County.
David Martinez is charged with second degree murder.
The sheriff says Martinez stabbed Anita Bell Forbes at the Holiday Inn Express outside of Covington Thursday night.

Authorities in Alleghany County are investigating a deadly stabbing.
They received a call from the front desk at the Holiday Inn Express outside of Covington Thursday around 5:30 p.m.
The sheriff tells WDBJ7 that Nita Bell Forbes was found dead in the room. She had been stabbed.
An unidentified man had also been stabbed. He was taken to the hospital.
