HENRY CO., Va.—
An Axton man died Thursday night after being hit by a car on Route 220 in Henry County.
According to Virginia State Police, 46-year-old Vernia Leo Hall II was walking on Route 220 North near Route 667 when he walked in front of a 2011 Chevrolet Cruz.
Hall was taken to North Carolina Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem where he died.
The car that hit Hall was being driven by a 20-year-old woman from Stuart.
No charges have been filed at this time.
