A Roanoke Valley businessman is getting an early start on his campaign for the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors.

Mike Bailey announced Wednesday that he will seek the Republican nomination to represent the Hollins District.

Supervisors Chairman Richard Flora plans to step down when his current term expires at the end of the year.

Bailey owns an insurance agency, and has served twice as Roanoke County GOP chairman.
