Barn Cat Buddies is trying to save the lives of more homeless pets.

They're offering spay and neuter assistance for cat owners on limited incomes.

It's called Fix For Fifteen.

You can pay $15 for a spay or neuter and a rabies vaccine but you must apply.

To learn more, you can call the BCB Hotline at 540-344-8707 ext. 3.

Someone will get back to you within 24 hours.

Barn Cat Buddies has been awarded a $9,000 grant that will help with this effort.

The group wants to spay and neuter at least 400 pets through this program.

Also, Angels of Assisi has received a Compassion for Victims of Cruelty award, along with a $2,500 grant, from the Animal Farm Foundation.

This award was in honor of assisting 2 dogs from North Carolina who needed a commitment of safety time, training and patience as they rehabilitated.

The grant money will aid in both cats and dogs who've been abused and need help.

Angels of Assisi is also offering $5 adoption fees for cats who are part of the Barn Cat Buddies program.
