Be a "doll," donate to The Salvation Army

With Thanksgiving behind us, the focus now is on Christmas.

Donations are starting to come in for The Salvation Army's Angel Tree.

This morning, a bus of newly dressed dolls arrived from members of Windsor Hills United Methodist Church in Roanoke.

These dolls will go to kids who wouldn't have a Christmas without the community's help.

"The Salvation Army Angel Tree program can not exist without the community, without the volunteers, without people reaching out and helping those in need, " says Captain Amy Argot of The Salvation Army.

Right now, this warehouse behind Carmike Cinemas is empty, but when it's all said and done it will have presents for more than 3-thousand needy kids.

If you'd like to help, there are nearly 400-"angels" that still need to be adopted.
