Blacksburg Police are investigating two robberies that happened within an hour of one another.
The first one happened around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday at a community center on Tall Oaks Drive at Hethwood Boulevard. The robber pulled a knife on someone who was working a pizza sale event. The robber ran off with a cash box and the victim's wallet. The victim did give a description of the robber, and police have released a sketch of him.
About an hour later the CVS Pharmacy across from University Mall was also robbed. A man grabbed prescription drugs and ran out of the store. Police arrested Tyler Rudd at his apartment at the University Place complex a short time later.
