One person escaped a house fire uninjured Thursday morning in the Blue Ridge part of Botetourt County.
The call came in to fire crews around 10:30 a.m. at 99 Ivory Creek Lane.
The fire did significant damage to the home, which is now uninhabitable.
It took crews from Blue Ridge, Troutville, Read Mountain, and Botetourt County about a half-hour to put out the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting the family that lived in the home.

Botetourt County fire crews are responding to a fire in Blue Ridge.
The fire is on Ivory Creek Lane.
Crews from Montvale and Read Mountain are on scene. Ivory Creek Lane is off of Zimmerman Road. That is about one mile from Colonial Elementary School.
Smoke was visible from the Bonsack Walmart.
