Update - The Virginia State Police have arrested 23 year old Derick Gregory Wilson of Roanoke and have charged him with possession of bomb making materials that were found at a home located in the 400 block of Bonhill Drive NW around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. A search warrant was obtained for the Bonhill Drive address resulting from an ongoing criminal investigation in the Town of Blacksburg where a pipe bomb exploded early Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Harrell Street.

Roanoke Police are investigating reports of a bomb inside a home on Bonhill Drive NW near Hershberger Road.
Neighbors tell WDBJ7 that police officers told them to stay inside.
Police have surrounded the home and blew up something inside.
Blacksburg Police confirm that the bomb scare is related to the arrest of a Roanoke man for the morning explosion at an apartment building on Harrell Street. An SUV was damaged in the explosion.
Derick Gregory Wilson, 23, of Roanoke was arrested and charged with the manufacture, possession, use of fire bombs or explosive materials.
Blacksburg Police will not say how Wilson's arrest is related to the Roanoke incident.
