The perfect site turned out to be in Rockbridge County, just outside Lexington.
Construction of the Devil's Backbone brewery is now nearly complete and a Virginia native has come home to do the brewing.
The brewmaster, Nate Olewine, is a Virginia Tech graduate.
It's been a dream of his to brew beer in his home state of Virginia.
