2:35 p.m. update:
The fire appears to be contained at this time. It started behind a home that's across the street from Belview Elementary School.
Rescue crews were stationed at the school to be on standby.

Fire officials are on the scene of a brush fire in the 3100 block of Peppers Ferry Road and Prices Fork Road area of Montgomery County.
Authorities say a controlled burn got out of control, sparking the fire.
We have a crew on the scene.
