A national automobile insurance company is urging teen drivers to put the cell phone down and pay attention to the road and other motorists.
“Teen accidents are the number one reason for deaths in teens. And obviously texting is a major distraction behind the wheel and so we're asking them to put the cell phone down and make a pledge with us today that they won't be texting and driving,” said Insurance Agent Betsy Thomas.
Insurance agents all across the country took part in "Celebrate My Drive". They provided valuable information about safe driving skills and handed out rubber rings for teens to show their participation in the safe driving program.
