Fans of the fast food chain Chipotle have a reason to celebrate.
The popular Mexican grill, known for its burritos, opens in Roanoke Tuesday morning. On Monday, the Mexican grill opened briefly for a select few customers with coupons. They got free meals on the eve of the grand opening.
It was a chance for the new staff to get some practice making the big burritos. There were several devoted fans including this couple.
"I was very excited. We had been hoping that Chipotle would come here to Roanoke," said Lisa Toney.
"Valentine's Day we went to Charlottesville just to eat dinner at Chipotle," said Shawn Toney.
Another woman has visited many of Chipotle's locations, and she even toured the headquarters in Denver. People have been waiting a lot time for Chipotle to come to Roanoke.
Chipotle opens at 11 a.m.
