His name is Matt Simpson, and despite being legally blind, he hasn't let obstacles stand in his way. In fact, today was his graduation day at Washington and Lee University  in Lexington. Simpson walked across the stage with his guide dog "Lacrosse" by his side. The politics major is quite resilient. You may recall we featured him a few years ago in a story about "goal ball", a sport for the visually impaired. "It's all about adapting. There's nothing you can't overcome it's just about what your circumstances are and how you're going to deal with them and go forward with that," he said.

Simpson's dog  was supposed to sport a cap and gown during the ceremony but the pooch had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction. The gown didn't fit properly but the yellow lab showed off his dog tie and cap for our camera.
