Person who filed complaint over Ten Commandments in Giles Co. Schools isn't a parent

An update to the Ten Commandments flap in Giles County Schools.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation now says the person who originally filed a complaint doesn't actually have children in the school system and therefore can't be a plaintiff.

Back in December, the superintendent had the Ten Commandments taken down after the Freedom From Religion Foundation sent a letter saying it was unconstitutional.

Last week, the school board reversed the decision and the Ten Commandments are now back up.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation says it is actively looking for a parent so it can file a lawsuit.  A spokesperson says the group has received several complaints about the Ten Commandments but none are actually parents.  The group plans to send a letter to its members in Giles County in hopes of finding a plaintiff to file a lawsuit.
