Person who filed complaint over Ten Commandments in Giles Co. Schools isn't a parent

Please accept a simple solution.  Any religious group of any recognized religion can post their Commandments in the court house just as the folks are attempting to do for the Ten Commandments.  I won't go into any examples for fear of stepping on one's freedom of religion or as this event is shaping up as a freedom from religion.

I want to commend Live By Example for refusing to use the stereotypical, mean-spirited rhethoric used by most conservative Christians when addressing atheists and other non-believers. While I do not believe in the divinity of Jesus, our worldviews share more in common than in difference.

We have laws to protect everyone's inalienable rights from the vicissitudes of politicians, leaders, and maligned majority opinion. Laws are not something that a fervent mob can vote away during moments of umbrage for their neighbors. Members of Giles County School Board have a duty to uphold our federal laws, even when they run counter to personal beliefs. They knew this when they took oath. The Establishment Clause of the First Ammendment gives us freedom of religion, which includes freedom from religion.

If only those who support the posting of the Decalogue in schools could see how this actually threatens their own right to practice religion. They can't see it now because they feel the false comfort of majority opinion. Just change the circumstances and imagine that Giles County voted to display sacred Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, etc. texts in hallways and then poll Christians for their support of government endorsement of religion. Christians were once a minority, but now strength in numbers has dulled their appreciation of fairness.
