Setting a world record may be tough by yourself, but teaming up with thousands of others across the country makes things easier.

If you're a fan of bowling, this is for you.

Riverside Lanes in Danville along with nearly four thousand other bowling alleys are trying to break the record for most games played on one day.

Last year around 100 people came out to Riverside Lanes to bowl joining more than 900 thousands bowlers around the nation.

This year they want to exceed one million bowlers.

"It's just a way to introduce new people to bowling. People who may not have been here for a while and have a good time. It's a fun way to set a record," said Laura Anderson co-owner of Riverside Lanes.

In order to participate you have to be on time.

Record breaking bowling is from noon until four this Saturday. Games are going for just a dollar.
