Danville teen charged with calling in bomb threat to North Carolina high school

A Danville teenager has been charged with calling a bomb threat into a North Carolina high school.

The threat was called into McMichael High School in Rockingham County, N.C., on Nov. 27. Students were evacuated from the building while officers searched for an explosive device. Nothing was found.

17-year-old Travon Wilson of Danville was charged Nov. 30 with making the threat. He was arrested Monday.

Wilson is being held under a $10,000 secured bond at the Rockingham County Jail. He is due in court on Dec. 18.
