It's an antique collector's dream come true. Next weekend, Roanoke Valley's annual Antique Expo is coming to the Roanoke Civic Center.
This is the 45th year the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring the event.
Nationwide, there are 160,000 members. The organization focuses on historic preservation, education, and conservation.
This antique show is the main fundraiser for the local chapter of the DAR.
In the last 44 years, the event has grown into one of the premier antique shows in the state.
The show hosts more than 60 handpicked dealers from all over the country.
The show offers only quality antiques from professional dealers.
Items up for grabs include antique silver, glassware and china from all over the world, furniture and accessories from many different periods of American, European and Oriental history, estate jewelry, household and personal curiosities from years past, antique rugs, old and rare books and magazines, and many other unusual and unique items.
To see what kind of rare gems you can find, stop by the Roanoke Civic Center's Special Events Center next weekend.
