Winter time means rest time for most trees in our area. But some of you may have noticed a few blossoms after a few warm spurts in the past six weeks.

The Roanoke Master Gardeners in Roanoke County tell us if the tree is older, you don't have to worry about losing any blooms.

Some buds on older trees blossomed when temperatures hit the high 60's a few weeks ago, chances are they'll be fine compared to younger trees that could lose blooms.

The group also says it usually takes two weeks of warmth for older trees to start blossoming.
