The parent of a Virginia Tech student wounded in the 2007 campus massacre says he's hopeful Gov. Bob McDonnell will do his part to keep the state's one gun a month law in place.
Andrew Goddard said McDonnell had a conference call with the families of Virginia Tech survivors and victims. He said the governor promised to get back to the group next week.
The Virginia Senate passed legislation earlier this month repealing the 1993 law.
The families of Virginia Tech students and survivors, of the 2007 campus shootings, have been active to limit the sale of guns.
