Roanoke, Va.—
The chilly temperatures didn't keep people from taking part in the Harrison Museum of African American Culture's Henry Street Heritage Festival.
It was held Saturday in Roanoke's Elmwood Park.
This year's theme is "Rhythms of a Village".
There was food, music and even fun activities for kids like face painting.
The event serves as an annual reminder of the time when Henry Street was the hub for entertainment, small business enterprises, eateries and hospitality services for American Americans.
