"Fields of Faith" event brings out hundreds of Christian student athletes

It was a packed house tonight at Northside High School in Roanoke.

The "Fields of Faith" event put on by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes drew student athletes from all over the Roanoke Valley. The event was supposed to be on the football field but had to be moved inside to the gym because of the rainy weather.

It was a chance for students to share personal stories and encourage others to read scripture.

There were a lot of local religious bands performing and Virginia Tech's football chaplain even made an appearance.
