Virginia Tech students who graduate in May will have a major speaker on commencement day.
First Lady Michelle Obama will address the class at Lane Stadium.
The announcement came Wednesday.
She'll join U.S Senator Mark Warner as commencement speaker.
WDBJ7 caught up with some seniors who say it's an exciting way to celebrate.
"It's a big honor for Virginia Tech and it should be interesting to see what she has to say," said Kelly Cummings, a Virginia Tech student.
"Michelle Obama is a huge figure being the first lady and it's a great opportunity to hear her come and speak no matter which side of the political spectrum you're on," said Virginia Tech student Marshall Tuck.
The university commencement ceremony will begin at noon on Friday, May 11th.
More than 5,000 students will get diplomas.
