Whether you like football or not, junk food will be on the agenda for many of you come Sunday night’s big game.
Managers at Kroger tell WDBJ7 that Super Bowl Sunday is one of their busiest shopping days.
Tracy Andrews plans to host a Super Bowl party for 12 of her family members. With her basket overflowing with groceries, Andrews explains what she’ll serve. "Finger foods, vegetable trays, chicken, buffalo wings, meatballs, ham biscuits, you name it, we're going to have it!"
Some fans stick with the average appetizers: Chips, dip, nuts and drinks.
Others, like WDBJ7 photographer Adam Ward, use their imagination. "Beanie weenies, hot dogs, nachos, large cheese pizza, sausage, milkshakes, and bacon," said Ward.
Andrew Hogan says his Super Bowl traditions usually consist of all his friends, but since he and his wife had a newborn, this year is different. "We’re just hanging out with the family, watch all the commercials and the game too," said Hogan.
If you're planning to head to the grocery store before the game, be prepared for checkout lines to be busy with football fans.
Even if you don't understand the game of football, one thing we can all understand are Super Bowl snacks.
